Job Responsibilities
In-depth application of analytical and AI technologies to solve complex and high-priority business problems in Aeon Group companies
1. Design optimal analysis methods and AI application strategies for business needs with high uncertainty and few precedents, and lead the implementation to the actual deployment stage
2. Collaborate closely with business development managers to lead the creation of analytics/AI solutions that directly support business unit decisions
Analytical techniques include the following:
◦ Exploratory data analysis (e.g. correlation analysis, hypothesis generation)
◦ Predictive analytics (e.g. sales forecast, potential demand forecast, incoming traffic forecast)
◦ Classification analysis (e.g. customer classification, product classification)
◦ Optimization analysis (e.g. inventory management optimization, price optimization, supply chain management optimization, personalized recommendations)
Evaluation of the effects of ◦ various policies
3. Design, develop and upgrade autonomous AI agents that can be promoted in Aeon Group's multi-business and multi-business sectors
Using large language models and other technologies, take the lead in formulating the architecture design and implementation strategy of AI agents that can independently complete analysis, decision support, and operation assistance work.
4. Carry out data collation and feature engineering work related to analysis
5. Sort out the requirements and specifications of the Aeon Data Analysis Platform
6. From the perspective of the mentor, promote the exchange, collaboration and vitality of the analysis team of the Aeon Group's domestic and overseas systems
7. Provide support services related to AI/machine learning technologies and tools
8. Coach and develop junior data scientists

Job Requirements (Required)
1. At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a senior data scientist
2. Ability to reproduce analytical methods in technical papers through code
3. Ability to independently develop analytical methods and promote their productization
4. Experience in completing difficult projects based on machine learning, statistics, optimization algorithms, etc. as the lead person
5. Experience in leading the use of AI technologies, including large language models, to create solutions from the design stage
6. Have communication skills to build collaborative relationships with business units
7. Have communication skills to bridge the gap between “business needs” and “analytics/AI technology limitations”
8. Business proficiency in Japanese
Job Requirements (Preferred)
1. Programming skills (SQL, R, Python, Scala, MATLAB)
2. Have data visualization capabilities
3. Large-scale data processing capability
4. Experience in developing solutions using natural language processing technology
5. Experience in deep learning model development
6. Major in Information Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Business Engineering (PhD/Masters/Bachelor Degree)
7. Experience in publishing papers at international conferences and journals
8. Owns relevant patents
9. Work experience in the retail industry
10. English at the level of business
