Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Opportunity Identification and Preliminary Assessment: Focus on the Australian Electricity Market (NEM), proactively search for and screen for high-quality acquisition and development opportunities for independent energy storage or optical storage mixed projects on the grid side below 5MW (Sub-5MW); deeply explore and operate the resource circle layer to obtain first-hand or non-public (Off-market) potential projects and high-value land resources through own industry contacts (such as Australian small and medium-sized developers, land agents, etc.); organize preliminary technical and commercial feasibility studies for projects below 5MW, combine the grid capacity data and land properties of the local distribution grid (DNSP), and form a high-precision preliminary assessment report on the project.
2. Project acquisition and agreement negotiation: As the core negotiator, he is responsible for the acquisition negotiation and lock-in of the core assets of the project, leading the signing of exclusive land agreements (Exclusivity), land lease intentions (Option to Lease), etc.; leading the docking with the power grid company (DNSP) and relevant government approval departments to promote the application and negotiation of grid access rights (Grid Connection) and development permits (DA); representing the company to participate in the negotiation of key commercial terms to ensure that the terms are commercially feasible, and strictly control the legal, technical and compliance risks in the early stage.
3. Project due diligence and transaction structure design: take the lead in organizing in-depth due diligence on financial, technical, legal, environmental and other dimensions for locking assets, and accurately identify the nature of the Sub-5MW project in the land (Zoning), environmental protection and grid-connected approval; in conjunction with the commercial and legal departments of the company's headquarters, participate in and lead the transaction structure design (such as: SPV equity acquisition, project asset transfer, joint development joint venture establishment, etc.) to optimize the utilization rate of funds.
4. Transaction execution and project transfer planning: Manage the entire transaction process, coordinate local external legal advisors, financial advisors, technical evaluation agencies, etc., to promote the successful delivery of the project and reach the stage of preparation for construction (RTB); based on a deep understanding of the market valuation of the Sub-5MW project, plan the subsequent sale of some or all of the assets of the project, commercialize the operation model or exit arrangements with other funding parties to maximize asset returns.
Job Requirements:
1. Education and professional background requirements: Bachelor degree or above, engineering, finance, economics, energy, land management and other related majors are preferred.
2. Experience requirements: 3–5 years of relevant practical experience in project development, investment or business development in the field of renewable energy or energy storage in Australia; experience in land acquisition, project evaluation, merger and acquisition execution or project transfer is preferred.
3. Foreign language proficiency requirements: Fluent in written and spoken English, barrier-free and competent in an all-English, cross-cultural work environment.
4. Core competency requirements: Familiar with Australia's NEM market and renewable energy operation model, with basic project financial analysis capabilities, able to identify at a glance the quality of Sub-5MW projects and development difficulties; with strong resource development capabilities, cross-departmental communication and coordination capabilities and strong external business negotiationsAbility, clear logic, strong execution; strong sense of ownership and self-driven, able to independently promote the project in a fast-paced environment.
5. Willing to conduct high-frequency business trips within Australia for site visits or project negotiations.
