Primary Responsibilities
1. Core technology research and development:
o Independently responsible for the architectural design, development, proofing and stability testing of new skin care formulations (such as serums, creams, lotions, sunscreens, etc.).
o Lead in solving key technical problems in the formulation development process, such as active compatibility, system stability, skin sensation optimization, packaging material compatibility, etc.
o In-depth research and application of new active ingredients, raw materials from natural sources and cutting-edge delivery technologies to enhance the core competitiveness of products.
2. Project Management and Leadership:
o Lead specific formulation projects, develop research and development plans, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on quality, and on budget.
o Instruct and cultivate base-level technical staff and engineers to improve the overall technical capabilities of the team.
o As the core of technology, we work closely with departments such as product market, procurement, production quality and supply chain to promote the smooth transformation and market launch of products.
3. Technology Frontiers and Compliance:
o Continuously tracks technology trends, new ingredients, new regulations in the global skincare industry and drives their transformation and application within the company.
o Ensure that all formulation R&D activities strictly comply with domestic and foreign (such as China, the European Union, the United States, etc.) cosmetic safety technical specifications and relevant laws and regulations.
o Establish and maintain technical documentation of formulations to provide a scientific basis for product registration and claim support.
4. Cross-departmental synergies:
o Cooperate with the efficacy evaluation department to design and review the product efficacy test program to provide strong scientific support for product claims.
o Cooperate with the production department to solve the process problems in the pilot and large-scale production processes to ensure the stable reproduction of the formula.
Job Eligibility RequirementsRigid Requirements:
Education: chemistry, chemical industry, fine chemical industry, cosmetics science and technology, materials science, pharmacy and other related majors, bachelor degree or above.
Work experience: 8 years or more of experience in high-end skin care research and development, at least 3 independent research and development of skin care products that have been successfully marketed.
Company background: Priority is given to having experience in a well-known domestic cosmetic company, such as:
o Famous domestic cosmetic brands (such as Galan Group, Shanghai Jiahua, Praia, Betaine, Huaxi Biology, Sea Turtles, Marumi, etc.).
o Famous ODM/OEM companies (such as Kosmos, Kema, Northbell, Zhongyan, Bawei, Dongfang, Yingteli, etc.).
Core Skills and Competencies:
Expertise:
o Proficient in skin care product formulations (O/W, W/O, gels, silicone oil packets, etc.) and their design principles.
o Profound understanding of the chemical properties, mechanism of action and compounding principle of various cosmetic raw materials (emulsifiers, oils, polymers, active substances, etc.).
o Proficient in testing methods and evaluation standards such as formula stability, compatibility, and microbial challenges.
Project & Leadership:
o Has successful experience leading complex R&D projects independently and demonstrates excellent project management skills.
o Has a good team spirit and cross-functional communication skills to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively.

o Extremely enthusiastic and sharp about skin care technology and market trends.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as innovative thinking.
o Rigorous and meticulous work, with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to resist stress.
Plus:
Has experience in successfully leading the research and development of listed star products or explosive products.
In-depth research and expertise in specific areas such as anti-aging, whitening, sunscreen, sensitive skin care, etc.
Familiar with the latest domestic and foreign cosmetics regulations (such as the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics and its supporting documents).
Good English reading and writing skills, proficient in English technical literature and patents, and better able to communicate.
